Nationalization of property in Crimea
Yulia Deeva, a senior lawyer of LOLARES Law Company, deals with the features of the Russian legislation. Thus, the Civil Code of the Russian Federation provides for the possibility of nationalizing state property of citizens. But one can be comforted with the fact that the law also provides for compensation for nationalized property to citizens. But this raises the question of the amount of such compensation. In this case, the property owner must apply to the court of the Russian Federation. If the court decision does not satisfy the plaintiff, the citizen has a reason to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.
